Robben Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is run as a museum. Access is controlled: the ferry departs from the V&A Waterfront, capacity is limited, and the island tour itself follows a fixed format led by museum guides, several of whom are former political prisoners.

That means the products here differ less than in other categories. What varies is what surrounds the island visit - some are ferry and entry arrangements only, others combine the island with a city tour, Table Mountain or the Waterfront. Sailings are weather-dependent and are cancelled in rough conditions, so build flexibility into where you place it in your trip.
