The prison walk is the part people remember. B Section, the isolation cells, the courtyard, and Mandela’s cell. Groups are moved through on a schedule and it is not a place to linger, which some visitors find frustrating and others find appropriate.

Sailings are cancelled in bad weather at the museum’s discretion and that call is made on the day. Build a spare morning into your trip if the island matters to you.
